Striving to provide hope, faith and a sense of community to all.

About

Just Blessings the brain child of its founder Dontane Farmer started on Facebook in 2011. Mr. Farmer saw there was a need in the community and wanted to help. He knew that his resources were limited so he reached out to his friends, family, the Prince Hall Masonic Orders and Eastern Stars of Illinois. In the beginning membership was low but has now reached more than 2500 members and the request for membership continues to grow. Mr. Farmer wanted to get resources out to the public that might not necessarily be accessible. Members started posting educational resources, employment opportunities, childcare resources, mentoring programs, as well as offering spiritual guidance. What started as a simple Facebook group has now become a Christian connection with one purpose helping those who need help and asking nothing in return Just Blessings. Now in its fourth year Just Blessing is looking to expand its networking possibilities to include corporate and private sponsoring which will elevate the group’s ability to help more people. Just Blessings strives to provide hope, faith and a sense of community to all.

We provide housing assistance and educational funding for young adults throughout the community.
Our programs include but are not limited to tutoring, GED preparation, college and career readiness, SAT/ACT prep, financial education/grant support, soft skill programs such as etiquette classes and introduction to the fine arts. These programs will help to mold the youth and beyond into well rounded individuals.
At times, per the discretion of the board of directors, we may provide additional programs as determined by the needs of the community.
